OpenPeppol heeft aangekondigd dat bestaande Peppol PKI-certificaten ongeldig worden door een platformwijziging bij certificaatleverancier DigiCert. Alle Access Points en SMP’s moeten overstappen op Generation 3 (G3) certificaten.
Let op: vanaf 11 februari 2026 is ondersteuning van het bestaande G2 root certificate als het nieuwe G3 root certificate in de configuratie en software vereist. Het daadwerkelijk vervangen van productiecertificaten kan plaatsvinden in de overgangsperiode van 11 februari tot en met 1 april 2026.
Wij adviseren Nederlandse serviceproviders dringend om de documentatie van OpenPeppol tijdig te raadplegen en de benodigde stappen voor de migratie in te plannen:

OpenPeppol has announced that existing Peppol PKI certificates will become invalid due to a platform change at certificate provider DigiCert. All Access Points and SMPs must switch to Generation 3 (G3) certificates.
Please note: from February 11, 2026, support for the existing G2 root certificate as the new G3 root certificate will be required in the configuration and software. The actual replacement of production certificates can take place during the transition period from February 11 to April 1, 2026.
